Field of Honor

Murrieta Rotary’s awe-inspiring, emotion-filled patriotic event, the 2013 Field of Honor returns this fall for the fourth time, the tribute flying Nov. 9 – 16.

More than 2,013 flags will be posted to “honor our heroes” — veterans, past and present, emergency services providers and others important in our lives.

Flags can be sponsored for $35 each and will bear a yellow ribbon with the name of your honoree.  At the end of the week-long display, the flags, poles and ribbons can be claimed by their sponsors.

Order on this site through Nov. 7.  After that date, you can order at the field between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Week’s Activities

A variety of activities go on through the week, starting with the chalk art painting on  Nov. 9 & 10, and a First Responders recognition ceremony in the afternoon.  A candlelight concert featuring high school choirs and a Marine Corps birthday tribute are on the program.  Fifth graders from Murrieta public schools make field trips to the Field throughout the week.  And the city’s annual Veterans Day parade ends at the Field on Nov. 11.  Visit here for more info.
